AI Racing Tech Wins at CES 2025
On January 13, 2025 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Indy Autonomous Challenge completed the world’s first successful multi-car autonomous race: four AI-piloted racecars, 20 laps, five overtakes, and the first-ever autonomous push-to-pass system, with no accidents.
AI Racing Tech (UC Berkeley, University of Hawai’i, UC San Diego, Carnegie Mellon) won the Tier 2 passing competition, defeating Purdue AI Racing with a 162 MPH overtake in the final seconds.
